The U.S. Coast Guard Auxilary, Flotilla 24 Elliot Bay, is offering BOATING/NAVIGATION COURSES for students in North King and South Snohomish Counties. Flotilla 24 holds regular classes in a number of boating safety, boat handling, navigation, rules of the road and other great subjects. Below is a listing of upcoming classes.

About Boating Safety - Seminar Version (ABS)
Course fee is $25

Approved by Washington state for "Mandatory Boater Education". This beginning boating class gives you the knowledge needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification in many states including Washington. Many boat insurance companies offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete About Boating Safety.

BOATING SKILLS AND SEAMANSHIP is a 13-lesson course for all boaters, covering boat selection, boat handling, safety and legal requirements, aids to navigation, navigation rules, introduction to piloting, lines and knots, marine weather, trailering, marine engines, marine radio, locks and dams.
